Thirty-five thousand square feet of underground car park at the Collingwood housing estate was transoformed into a unique arts space that has been used to host the Homeless Gallery open photographic exhibition as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. The Underground Arts Space is the brainchild of the Collingwood Housing Estate Arts Committee, made up of local tenants and community groups, and will be used as a long term venue for visual and performing arts.
