The Wellington:
Supports activities which welcome and embrace all cultures, including those of new arrivals to Australia by providing a range of programs for all people in the community Provides health, wellbeing and educational programs that improve the life opportunities of local children, young people and people with all forms of disability and those experiencing social isolation.
Initiates and develops programs which fill gaps in local services and engage in partnerships with other health and community services.we have the Victorian College of Optometry running an eyecare clinic once a month. Testing is free with a health care card and the glasses are subsidised.
The chiropractic clinic, which is supported by Reclink, is held each Wednesday and Friday afternoon. At the same time you can just drop-in for a cuppa and a chat with our friendly volunteers.
On Thursdays at 12:00pm a small group get together for some lunch, a chat and knitting. Our knitting teacher is very creative and has the group producing some amazing articles.
Also, on Thursday afternoon we have a dancing class. This is a lot of fun! We try all styles of dance from the Cha Cha to Rock n Roll.
The Australian Acupuncture Chinese Medicine Association conduct a free clinic at the WellingtonFriday afternoons. This is a very popular service bookings need to be made in advance
