The security upgrade across the walk up properties is reported to be on schedule. As we previously advised there are several different contracting groups involved such as builders, electricians, concreters and locksmiths.
Don’t worry if there are workers there one day and not the next they will be back to your location and all work will be finished in due course. If you have any questions in relation to the Security Upgrade please contact Sharon Boyd, Project Manager, Inner Metro East
on 9417 5144
The Fitzroy & Carlton Community Credit Co-op service at 253 Hoddle street has been cancelled, alternative arrangements are being investigated into how residents can pay there internet connection locally without having to travel to Fitzroy.
Some things you can do now to improve your Safety and Security
(Electrical Safety)
Power points, light switches and light sockets, if you find they are loose, broken or not working it is very important you contact the Maintenance call centre 131172 during business hours and request an electrician attend and check them out.
We advise that you do not use double adapters as power boards are much safer and many models come with their own safety circuit breaker. Try not to use more the 1 power board per power socket.
If you find that your mains power circuit breaker activates a lot you may have a faulty electrical appliance or faulty wires, contact the Maintence call centre 131172 during business hours and request an electrician attend and check it out.
All public housing properties should have a smoke detector installed, if you don’t have one please contact your
Housing officer on 9417 5144 and advise them.
Make sure you test your smoke detector at least twice a year. If it is faulty contact the Maintenance call centre 131172 during business hours and request an electrician attend and check it out.
More then half of all house fires start through faulty or damaged electrical fittings.
If you have a Safety or Security issue you would like to bring to the attention of the working group or you wish to add an agenda item to the next meeting, please contact
