Dear Collingwood Resident,

The Yarra-wide Public Housing Transition Group has been working very hard to develop a new Local Governance Group on the Collingwood, Richmond and Fitzroy Public Housing Estates.

There are eleven resident members on each new Group. These representatives come from a combination of the largest cultural groups for each estate, and existing groups (tenant associations and estate advisory groups).

This is because, over two years of consultation, residents said they wanted to ensure that members on this new group represented the diverse mix of cultural groups on the estate, so each of these groups could work together.

This new Local Governance Group will provide a great opportunity for residents to continue to make their community a better place to live now and into the future.
