Annual Grants 2010 - NOW OPEN

Council’s Annual Grants provide financial and in-kind support for community initiatives and projects that address local needs and enhance the health and wellbeing of the local community.

The Annual Grants 2011 provide funding for small to medium sized projects and initiatives that respond to the diverse social, cultural, recreational, economic and environmental needs of Yarra residents.

Annual Grants are awarded under six streams including:

    * Arts and Culture
    * Environment
    * Community Development
    * Sport and Recreation
    * Youth Services and
    * Community Justice (funded by the Neighbourhood Justice Centre).

Each stream has its own specific funding priorities that applicants must meet to be eligible for a grant. Please discuss your project with the relevant Council officer before completing your application.
 
Council is holding six information sessions about the Annual Grants application process from 25 – 27 May 2010.

Council is holding six information sessions for not-for-profit groups and organisations to find out more about applying for an Annual Grant.

Grants are awarded in the areas of arts and culture, environment, community development, sport and recreation, youth services and community justice. Applications are open until 2 July 2010.

Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic and Dinka interpreters will be provided for sessions at the Fitzroy and Richmond town halls.  If you require an interpreter in another language, please call Nina Collins, Community Planner - Grants on 9205 5146.
