Cert III in ESL employment English for bilingual Health and Community Work


Do you want to learn about the health and community services sector in Victoria?
Do you want to use your bilingual skills?

This course comprises the Certificate III in ESL Employment (21935VIC), an accredited intermediate
English language course that will help you to develop your English language skills, and the Certificate II in
Community Services Work (CHC20108) which will give you skills and knowledge relevant to further study or
work in the health and community services sector.

The course includes work placement in a health or community organisation (subject to successful
completion of pre-requisites). On successful completion of this course, students
may undertake further study or apply for entry level employment as bilingual workers in the Health and Community Services sector.

Course content
• English language study at intermediate level
• introduction to the health and community services
sector in Victoria
• workplace skills relevant to the health and
community sector
• exploring further study and employment options in
the health and community services sector.

• guest speakers from the health and community
sector
• visits to health and community sector organisations
• research and presentation projects
• work placement

How long: Full-time for 36 weeks
