Dear Collingwood Resident,
The Yarra-wide Public Housing Transition Group has been working very hard to develop a new Local Governance Group on the Collingwood, Richmond and Fitzroy Public Housing Estates.
There are eleven resident members on each new Group. These representatives come from a combination of the largest cultural groups for each estate, and existing groups (tenant associations and estate advisory groups).
Last year we accepted a challenge from Infoxchange, a not-for-profit organization working to bridge Australia's digital divide. Even before the global financial crisis, individuals and communities around the globe were suffering economic hardship. Whether the cause is a stagnant national economy, long-term unemployment, refugee flight, family dysfunction or any one of countless other causes, the result is the same: A layer of society is left behind.
