Each year public and social housing communities across Victoria celebrate Housing Week. It's a celebration of the people, the diversity and the connections in your local neighbourhood.
Three exciting new projects at key public housing estates in inner-city Melbourne are set to deliver around 547 high-quality homes for Victorians on low incomes, following the
announcement of funding approval.
The projects have been designed to provide high-quality rental housing, and to better connect the Fitzroy, Prahran and Richmond estates with their surrounding streetscapes.
don't you hate it, when you are standing almost at the cusp of another year...
and you realise- what have I been doing?
the year is almost over! What have I done?
After this you may have a small existentialist crises of sorts and panic quietly that you haven't quite achieved what you wanted...
luckily for us, that's not the case.
i started in this role in March, and i can honestly say it's been a bit of a crazy ride, maybe more than a bit.
Look at qwhat we've been up to today.
I'm quite liking this video blogging...
Hello everyone, ever wondered what we get up to.
I'm going to try and post these little tid bits.
it saves me having to type everything up...
text is so 2008... video is where its at....
I was on ym way to grab a cold drink. (It's 31 degrees in Collingwood at the moment) and on the way i happened to stumble upon my good mate Alby, who gave me a quick tour of the new backyards the OoH is upgrading for the walk up residents.
They look fantastic, and I'm sure Alby is going to have it looking greener than it does now, thanks for the tour guys, the upgrade is really kicking off and going great guns,
I'll have more photos for you when I get them!
So making links is on tomorrow for two days, so I'll be noticeable absent from the site while I attend, i'm hoping to come back reinvigorated and full of ideas on how to make sure this here project keeps on delivering the outcomes we hope for.
There are some fantastic speakers on offer, i'[ll give you a running tally of how i go on Twitter- how's that for a deal, photos and all!
meanwhile I have to get to a meeting and I have to head off and distribute about a small pine plantation's worth of WIRED Community @ Collingwood flyers...
I don't think you need me to tell you it's hot....
We do love our sunburnt country indeed...
BUT... remember while the heat may be all beaches, thongs (which people in Australia wear all the time anyway) it also means heat... lots of heat and sadly, bushfires.
Here are some tips from the Victorian Government's Better Health Channel on how you can stay safe in the heat....
meanwhile. I think i may buy the office some zupa doopas.
